Pitt Moves Classes Online as Coronavirus Pandemic Spreads Around Nation

Chancellor Patrick Gallagher has announced classes will be canceled the week of 16-20 and will resume online for the remainder of the semester due to the coronavirus pandemic. Students are allowed to return to campus only to collect their items but they are encouraging students not to. Partial reimbursement for room and board will be given to students that do not come back to campus. Admission will continue campus visits from possible prospects and the library will remain open as well. Study abroad programs and all nonessential events have been canceled in the prevention of further spread. Services will be provided for those students who can not return home for the time being.
