Editorial Team Reflection

I feel that as a class we did well in looking over everyone’s drafts considering the circumstances. Starting off a few people may not have been putting their best into revising people’s papers. This I feel puts a hamper on how well the first and second group may have done because people may not have been giving the best possible feedback. This then turns negatively back on the people whose works were revised then because they may not realize to fix something that someone else caught but did not comment on. As the workshops continued, we all hinted at the way people start and end their papers. Making sure that the lead is grabbing and specific to what the rest of the paper will be about. The conclusions needed to be just as strong as the lead to really complete the paper, some people were not quite at a finished paper so it was a little hard to see how exactly they were going to end the paper. Another helpful note that many of us commented on was the organization of information, Some of the papers had good information. It was just a matter of getting it to flow together and in a coherent manner. I feel like as a class many had good quotes that fit well with the papers and really help bring forth what the topics were about. There were, of course, some papers that needed more quotes from different kinds of people to really help bring who the person is or how the situation is to various people. The last team reflection we all did well commenting on was how different and unique the angles everyone took were. There were papers that took different aspects of people and their lives and showed where they are due to the virus or who they are from a different perspective than most people know.
