Lone Wolf Speech: How to become a better version of your professional self

I chose this topic because this is my last year and I will be out in the professional world soon. As well as, for the fact, when I was reading over these topics this is the one that sparks a few ideas in my head the most. I decided not to go with either of the other two for a few reasons. I feel as though my academic self has barely changed throughout all my years of schooling and I know that bettering myself has to come from eliminating my procrastination more than anything else. As for the topic of COVID I feel as though there is only so much that can be said and I was not sure how to go about this topic in general.

I plan to connect with my audience by mentioning the fact that everyone will eventually be in the professional field. As well as talking about how this is one way to better your professional self; it is not just a one all be all kind of process. Becoming a better version of yourself professionally looks different for everyone and people may have to add steps, repeat steps, and/or eliminate steps in their own professional betterment. I will try my best to give examples of various jobs that people may have had to connect to more than one group of professionals.

Outline: Beginning: Mention how this will be different for everyone. This is just a basic format that I believe will personally benefit me the most. Have a short list of steps that will help me become a better version of myself professionally. Middle: This is the part where I plan to get into the more detailed focus information talking about what each step involves. As well as provide different examples for each step that can be applied for different jobs possibly. (The various job examples may be changed later to have my speech make more sense; I am not sure yet.) End: I plan to bring it back full circle by saying that I will strive to accomplish this process to be a better individual in the professional field. Now as I mentioned at the beginning this process will look different for everyone these are steps that I believe will better my professional self personally.
