After presenting my speech on Tuesday there are a few things that I wanted to focus on for my revision. The most feedback I heard was about my descriptions of the single focus concepts when it came to individuals developing better professional selves. I wanted to make sure that the concept; partnership and collaboration, had separate definitions that were not closely related to where it felt like I was repeating myself. Another revision to these definitions that needed to be made was to refrain from using the actual word in the definitions or examples I provided when talking about it. Another area that had some feedback was using “uh and um” as well as fidgeting with my hands and hair. I found that it was rather evident I was moving my hands when I spoke as well as moving my hair behind my ear. However, I plan to embrace these aspects and I plan to include it in my speech. While those were my two biggest points of revision I had some positive feedback as well. The feedback on my visuals and organization was good as well as the concept of reflection being one of the steps in becoming a better professional self.
