I found it interesting and a little surprising to see the specific individuals needed for the grant writing process. I knew it took more than one person for the grant but specifics were interesting to read about considering a grant writing consultant is an actual job in itself and is external to the organization usually vs. an internal position. Moving on for a second I thought it was interesting they made a point to include social media in the five question section and how while it’s not mandatory it is preferred. I think that is something more and more businesses and organizations are trying to get into but they can’t quite as quickly as the more popular companies like Nike and Starbucks because not as many individuals want to see the latest environmental issue on their feed. After reading through the keys to success of the proposal writing process I thought it was intriguing to see the budget was the last thing listed. Now obviously that is a formal manner of leaving the budget til the very end but I feel like there should be something after the budget to kind of re-emphasize why the individual should accept the proposal.
