Journal #13

Step 5 was rather worrisome/interesting to read because I feel like it mentioned a lot of information that we should include and I feel as though it may be easy to miss something that could throw the entire proposal off the possibility list. For example, we need to mention any research, past experience if any, any untested methods, data that supports the methods that will be used to showcase accurate and positive results. In addition, whether any of the mentioned strategies are already in place, new, or being modified to fit the proposed program. I don’t know reading that part made me feel like there is so much data that we would need that we may not necessarily be able to get because the Grow Native Initiative may not have been done before so in terms of methods some data may result in some outliers. Another thing that I picked out of this step was that a timeline is appropriate for multiple objective proposals. I feel like this is an important thing to include because without a timeline how successful can the funders really know the organization is with the program. The last point that I wanted to point out was the tip in writing the strategy component about not assuming the funders know what the organization is about, who their audience is, and what they propose to accomplish.
