Pitt Working to Recall Students From Coronavirus- Afflicted Countries

The university is still keeping people up to date about the Coronavirus. This week the University has let people know that they have notified 41 students; who are studying abroad in Italy, South Korea, and Japan. The school suggests that it would be best for the students to return home to the U.S. Once they make it back the students should stay distant from people coughing and sneezing over the duration of two weeks for safe measures. Whereas, classes that were assigned to be in China were canceled or changed the location.

The school is continuously checking up on news pertaining to the Coronavirus and has updated the pandemic preparedness plans for the worst-case scenario. They are following the World Health Organization to see what they are doing to stop the spread of the virus; due to the fact at any moment the situation could change. The University has also managed to get a sample of the virus sent to their lab for an attempt of creating a vaccine or “intervention method.”
