Journal #9

I think the foreseeable challenges that will erupt from moving farther into this proposal include the following. The first thing I can think of is specifics like how much money this idea will cost, what exact materials are needed, and who we will need to work with, in order, for the proposal to efficiently be followed through with. Then looking at the questions and responses we had gotten from Wednesday we need to figure out what the best plan of action would be to ensure they are answered and it all actually makes sense. In terms of ensuring both seasonal and residential homes are participating, we need to figure out how much work they are actually willing to put into a program like the community gardens and educate themselves on invasive vs native plants. I think it would be a good idea to kind of separate residential and seasonal homeowners because of the time spent here vs. somewhere else. I think getting the residential individuals would be easier because they are here they do live in among the community year-round. Compared to seasonal individuals that only are here for a couple of months out of the year and would rather spend it doing what they would consider fun. Which could be community gardens, composting, and being educated on plants. However, we do not know that for sure. Also, I think it will be challenging to get the seasonal residents more on board with everything because they probably rent out their place in the winter to college students or travelers. Meaning they may not want to put even more work on either themselves or their clients in terms of composting.
