Journal #14

It is clear the website example focused more on when exactly they would be assessing vs numbers they would use to assess their success. The one online also does not tell you what exactly they will be assessing the only thing that is really mentioned is when they will be conducting the surveys and on who. Not to mention I feel like the one in the book focuses on both quantitative and qualitative assessment whereas the one on the website only really focuses on qualitative data. This could definitely put a damper on how successful they (the website one) really are in their program, but it is their choice. Considering the example in the book actually gives percentages and amount of food and volunteers. Another thing that sticks out to me is the fact that the one in the book mentions how not only they are the ones assessing the success but volunteers and people in the community themselves are able to let the organization know what is and isn’t working. Whereas the website one focuses more on the fact that they have an evaluation team that basically does all of that for them. Another difference between the two is that instead of basically having everything under one evaluation kind of schematic the book example breaks the core programs into separate bullets, unlike the website example. I just feel like the website is very vague and does not give an accurate representation of how exactly the success of the program is going to be evaluated.
